Environmental Management System
Protecting the environment is an integral part of Telenor Group’s day-to-day business. Therefore, all companies within Telenor Group, including Telenor Montenegro, have established and implemented environmental management systems (EMS) based on the ISO 14001 standard. 
Telenor Montenegro’s Environmental Management System (EMS) is created to ensure compliance with environmental legislation and to monitor and continuously improve the environmental performance of the company in the country.
EMS process in Telenor Montenegro is renewed and from September 2015, we have updated Environmental policy.
Environmental policy
Telenor d.o.o, a telecommunications operator, is committed to the protection of the environment and recognizes the impact of its business activities on its surroundings. With this policy Telenor d.o.o. demonstrates its concern for the environmental protection, as well as high level of social responsibility.
To minimize its impact on the environment, comply with local requirements and seek higher standards through continuous improvement, Telenor d.o.o. has establish and is maintaining the Environmental Management System, in line with the requirements of Telenor Group and internationally recognized ISO 14001:2004 standard.
With a clear goal to preserve the environment, Telenor d.o.o. is committed to:  
  • Gradual  reduction of the negative impact of its products, services and activities on the environment, by continual improvement of the Environmental Management System;
  • Conduct operations in line with the environmental laws and regulations;
  • Defining and implementing environmental  protection rules, not required by legislation, but in accordance with Telenor Group policies and ISO 14001:2004 standard requirements;
  • Identifying relevant environmental aspects, defining objectives and targets, as well as programs of environmental management and monitoring their implementation;
  • Periodical revision of environmental aspects, objectives and targets, and actions of environmental management to ensure reduction of Company’s negative impact on the environment;
  • In order to prevent pollution continuously reduce the emission of harmful substances into the environment, save resources and energy, reduce the use of harmful substances and quantities of hazardous waste;
  • Conduct operations in line with the environmental protection principles and in the process of procurement of goods and services consider their impact on the environment;
  • Informing, educating and raising awareness of employees to act preventively, change habits and join in the Company’s efforts to improve its environmental performance;
  • Ensure that Telenor’s business partners follow environmental standards, that are in line with Telenor’s own principles regarding:
  1. Climate Emissions and Energy Consumption
  2. Other Emissions to Water, Soil and Air
  3. Waste management and recycling
  4. Installations and Radio Wave Emissions
  5. Environmentally Effective Procurement
  • In cooperation with relevant stakeholders ensuring the implementation of the environmental protection principles, as to reduce the negative effects;
  • Establish cooperation and maintain efficient communication with all stakeholders for the purpose of promoting corporate responsibility in the environment protection area.
  • Reporting relevant and accurate data on its environmental performance. 
Environmental policy is periodically revised and updated.
The Company Management is responsible for consistent implementation of this policy, maintenance and improvement of the Environmental Management System.
