The joint activity of Telenor, MTV and celebrated Montenegrin basketball players Predrag Drobnjak and Vlado Scepanovic brought the smile to faces of children from the orphanage Mladost in Bijela.

Telenor is finishing the year in the company of the youngest. After socializing and providing gifts for children of Telenor employees, the company has also visited the orphanage Mladost in Bijela. Telenor employees have donated clothes and toys this year as well. Together with the company MTV and celebrated Montenegrin basketball players Predrag Drobnjak and Vlado Scepanovic who joined the campaign, Telenor representatives visited the children last night and delivered packs with candies. Santa Panta and Santa Claus who were there to sing and dance also have made children smile.

The basketball players have been answering to curious kids about the sport but also their height. Predrag Drobnjak explained that he is tall 2.10m and although he has big bed his legs are sticking out of it. Vlado Scepanovic answered the question about football and teams that he is fan of.

Telenor prepaid users, who still have not registered their numbers, have to do it by the end of the year, what is 31st December 2011.
Registration of prepaid users is done in a simple way, by filling in the form that is already prepared, with ID card or passport, while those under legal age must have an identification document, such as health booklet. The process of registration is prescribed by the Law and is intended to comply with European legislation.
After completing registration, all prepaid numbers will have registered owners, and one person can have unlimited number of prepaid numbers. The deadline for registration of prepaid users is 31st December 2011.
According to the Regulation on registration of prepaid users of public communications networks, issued by the competent Ministry, all operators are obliged to register prepaid users. Registration is also obliged for users of prepaid mobile Internet. Prepaid registration may be done in all Telenor’s point of sales and in premises of Post of Montenegro.

Today, Telenor Montenegro achieved another critical milestone in the mobile country code change. Telenor's customer base of almost a half million customers woke up this morning and were on Telenor's new network code "297 01". This is part of the Regulatory obligation to have the Mobile Country Code Change. "While this change is a regulatory requirement, Telenor prioritized that customers can continue to expect high quality and innovative services on the fastest and most reliable network’’, said Kaaren Hilsen, Telenor CEO. We invite customers that have still not replaced their SIM cards to do so, as final deadline is approaching.
(9th November, 2011) As part of the Regulatory obligation - Mobile Country Code Change, Telenor is switching to the new mobile country code 297 01, on 11th November 2011, in the early morning hours.
Telenor users should select the new network code 297 01 in the network settings. In case of loss of signal on 11th November, the users should switch off and switch back on their handsets and select manually the network 297 01 in the network settings.

(26th October, 2011) A large number of tourists chose Telenor as their preferred operator. In Q3 2011 Telenor’s customer base increased by over 12%, totaling almost 500 thousand customers.

Telenor’s revenues in the third quarter reached 25.5 mill EUR, which is 1.3% higher compared to the same period last year. Telenor and its customer joined the Food Bank Action and donated more than 2000 EUR through donation line while Telenor employees contributed with food as well.

Telenor continues its activities in the CSR field. This time, Telenor customers have collected more than 2000 EUR through donation line, while Telenor employees have also donated food. Aim of the action was to help and support the most vulnerable families on the North of Montenegro.
Thanks to humanitarian action ‘’Podgorica for North’’ organized by Food Bank the most vulnerable families from Bijelo Polje, Berane, Pljevlja, Mojkovac, Andrijevica and Zabljak, 600 of them, will receive the collected food at the beginning of next week.

Telenor in coperation with Center for transfusion organized Voluntay Blood Donation Action in which Telenor employees have participated.
As socially responsible company Telenor saw opportunity to contribute society this way as well. As for this, doctor Rasovic and her team have visited Telenor and gave interesting and fully visited lecture about voluntary blood donation. Presentation explained more about voluntary blood donation to the employees and also was opportunity for asking questions. Inspiring presentation was impetus for many colleagues to make human gesture of national importance, proved in today’s action.

‘’With today’s action where our employees participate Telenor wants to give example to others and inspire bigger turnout on regularly organized voluntary blood donation actions. I am very happy to see our employees in big number today what once again prove their responsibility toward society’, said Kaaren Hilsen, Telenor CEO.
Gordana Rašović, Centre for transfusion director stressed that this is the right way to work together on raising awareness, and also good impetus to achieve recommended percentage of voluntary blood donators of 3-5% on national level. ‘’Even though we have done a lot on this field thanks to previously organized actions, statistics show that as individuals and companies we have to engage even more’’, said her.
To remind, percentage of voluntary blood donation in Montenegro is under wanted level with 2.5%, with most family donators. According to official statistics, each 4th person needs blood once in a life. Every healthy person, age 18-65, can donate blood, after laboratory and medical tests. Women can donate blood 3 times per year, while men can do the same 4 times per year. Donation lasts 5-7 minutes and doesn’t make habit. During blood donation there is no risk of getting disease as whole equipment is sterile and for one use only.

Telenor has presented innovative service for safer life of elderly on 18th Infofest. This service will also support their better inclusion in society. Based on telecommunication services, this service enable on distance support and is specially suitable to elderly that live alone.

Representatives of Telenor, Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare and Gerontology Society presented service Green Button – on distance support for elderly in Montenegro used by 20 persons since July this year.
As Adrijana Husić – Telenor PR said ''service Green Button, service on-distance support for elderly, is developed in a manner to be based on telecommunications; while at the same time will actively raise approach to social services and institutions for elderly people. This service will as well strengthen integration of this group of people into society, and provide better security and protection measures toward them created and implemented by family members and different stakeholders. Telenor CSR strategy aims to extend the benefits of telecommunications to as many people as possible. This is more than network development and service provision. It means active attitude to mobile communication benefits for those that may not be linked otherwise.’’
Budimirka Đukanović, independent counselor II in Ministry for Labor and Social Welfare reminded on Ministry work in this field and general picture of Montenegro in this matter: ''According to results of census, there were 103.393 (16.67%) people older than 60 years, while those older than 65 were 74.160 (11.96%). Montenegro is seen as EU country with high index of elderly people. This brings lots of problems in relation to social and health protection, as well with pension and disability insurance. Montenegrin Government of Montenegro adopted important and relevant strategies related to social protection and inclusion in order to achieve faster social and economic development, and to be more efficient in EU accession process.’’
Jasmina Vojinović, project associate in Gerontology society, said that ‘’this service is part of much wider project Standardization of system for social protection of elderly in Montenegro, as direct product of Action plan of Strategy for development of social protection of elderly in Montenegro. Standard definition through project was impetus for design and implementation of Green Button service, were as partners participate NGO, private and government sector. Aim of this service is to make possible for elderly to stay at their home as longer as possible, in order to function in their nearest surrounding with families and friends.’’.

Donation line as part of Action organized for International Day for the Eradication of Poverty
Telenor has opened a donation line, on the number 14543, aiming to help funds collection needed for Food Bank and buying the most needed things for people in North part of MNE, as part of Action organized for International Day for the Eradication of Poverty.  All Telenor users can contribute and send SMS to the number 14543 and donate 1EUR. This way, once again, they can express their humanity and solidarity. Donation line is opened in cooperation with NGO Food Bank Podgorica, member of FEBA. Food Bank works in order to donate and distribute, while promoting solidarity among citizens. Telenor has opened a donation line, on the number 14543, for helping three girls from Cetinje, Ivana Jankovic, Andrea Begovic and Sara Bozovic, who are suffering from cerebral paralysis. They can be treated in Russia. However, treatment for these three girls, without travel expenses, with food and money for an interpreter costs 60.000 €.
Telenor users can send SMS to the number 14543 and donate 1EUR. This way, once again, they can express their humanity and solidarity. 
The donation line has been opened in cooperation with Cetinje, the Royal Capital of Montenegro. On behalf of the families, they have also opened the bank account 535-120-98-63 and have donated money.

The organizers of the fourth night tournament ''Drugs in the basket'' point out that ''the only solution to prevent drug abuse is primary prevention in the local community, and with participation of all citizens. For all this it is necessary to have well-planned educational programs, cultural and sports events, to promote healthy lifestyles among young people; good cooperation between public authorities, charities and socially responsible companies.'' Because of this, the Office for Substance Abuse Prevention in Municipality of Pljevlja, implement specific preventive measures: a guide prepared for parents, a brochure about drug addiction and alcoholism, representative materials in the form of comics - which will be distributed to participants the tournament, guests, sponsors and medias. Because of all this with the support and participation of citizens, educational, sporting and cultural events Office believe that will prevent the emergence and spread of the disease.
This year patron of the tournament are Municipality of Pljevlja, Office for Substance Abuse Prevention, Department for sport and recreation in Department for social activities of Municipality and NGO „Sport za sve“.

Meeting of Ministry for Information Society and Telecommunications and Telenor representatives was held today. Meeting aim was to strengthen cooperation in regulatory creation in order to support further development of electronic communications.

Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Ministry for Information Society and Telecommunications Mr Vujica Lazovic and Deputy Minister of Electronic Communications, Postal Services and Radio – Spectrum Mrs Ratka Strugar visited Telenor today.
Telenor representatives: Mike Michel – CMO, Ana Radulović – CCAO and Dragan Ratkovic – Specialist in Legal Department introduced Telenor activities and plans for future period, proving continuous commitmenet of Telenor Group in Montenegro.
Actual questiones from regulatory regarding telecomunications were also subject of the meeting. Importance of predicatable and secure regulatory, investors security, rights and law respect were streesed as imprtant fctor of each sucefful bussiness. All this is important for any investor that would decide about company investement that also participate in complate development of the state were company operates.
Vice Prime Minister and Minister Mr. Lazovic expressed satisfaction as for the cooperation up to now and Telenor contribution to electronic communications development. He also proved Ministries willingness to work with operators in order to provide predictable business environment, aiming to further develop ICT sector.
Representatives of Ministry for Information Society and Telecommunications and Telenor agreed on ways how to cooperate in future having in mind joint aim that will support further development of electronic communications.
(21st July, 2011) Telenor Montenegro ends the second quarter of 2011 with total revenues 3.2% higher compared to the same period last year. Also, Telenor grew its leadership position with a subscription market share of 40%.  Telenor revenues in Q2 2011 reached 19.7 mill EUR, which is 3.2% higher compared to the same period last year. Revenue growth came mainly from strong growth of mobile internet, roaming revenues, and higher prepaid usage. In Q2, EBITDA grew to 46.2%.
CEO, Kaaren Hilsen stated: “Our positive results in 2011 are very encouraging and further supports our ambition of delivering the highest quality network experience along with being the preferred choice for all your communication and information needs.’’
The number of Telenor customers at the end of Q2 2011 grew to 442K. This represents a subscription market share of 40% which further extends Telenor’s leadership position.

Telenor send news and up-dates to all customers about free SIM replacement and prepaid registration. Also, customers receive information about place and dates in order to avoid waiting at the Telenor spot. Thus, we invite all our customers to follow instructions as SIM replacement and pre-registration can be done in accordance with deadlines.
Since gaining the state independency, mobile operators in Montenegro have the responsibility to introduce the new mobile country code. The new code of our network is 297 01, and it has been successfully implemented in technical systems and networks of our roaming partners. Thus why, citizens have to change existing SIM with new ones. Apart the new code, the new SIM cards have more active content, such as direct access to the balance inquiry, activation and deactivation of certain services, fun categories (horoscope, jokes, love puzzle) and the day by day more popular Facebook. Deadline for SIM replacement is the end of September 2011.
In accordance with the Regulation about the registration of the users of public communication networks’ services, all operators have to do registration of its users. Citizens that will not do the registration will be disconnected from the network. This registration is compulsory for internet pre-paid users as well. This registration is statutory and as for compliance with EU laws. Pre-paid registration is easy to be done, by filling already prepared forms, with ID or passport while under-age persons should have any identification document as i.e. Health Card. Deadline for pre-paid registration is December 31st 2011.
Telenor customers can do SIM replacement in all Telenor shops, as well as through mobile teams, with data copying free of charge. Pre-paid registration can be done in Montenegrin Post Office Shops as well.

Internet per day is first package on Montenegrin market where charging is done according to time spent on internet. By this, users can maximize expense control, while recharging can be done with any amount.
Internet per day, most affordable prepaid offer on the market, is the simplest solution for all prepaid users: in one internet per day package user get modem, SIM and special internet browser Opera turbo (installation will be done together with modem installation).

As in previous years, Telenor celebrated World Environment Day. Day that is traditionally celebrated worldwide since 1972, this year in Montenegro was celebrated with cleaning action of river Ribnica.
Joint action of Secretariat of Planning and Spatial Planning and Environment protection, other Capital City Institutions and Telenor aimed to call citizens, governmental and non-governmental institutions to take care about environment not only on WED but throughout the year; also to conduct responsibly and to contribute climate combat by personal actions.

On June 1st Telenor signed MoU – Climate Response, as member of National Network of civil organizations, as part of project ‘’SEE Forum about climate changes’’ initiated by Red Cross Montenegro with support of EU and Austrian Red Cross.
Among 19 signatories are influential representatives of government, private and civil sector. Network contributes to promotion and adoption of highest standards of climate protection and adaptation that are supposed to be done in order to decrease Montenegrin citizens vulnerability, especially of highly vulnerable groups (old people, children, persons with special needs, people with restricted medical threat etc.) and sustainable development.
As part of CSR strategy, Telenor is focused on three main areas: to broaden mobile phone usage benefits on as wider possible number of people, safe services provision and combat with climate changes.

Sometime near 11AM, together with Montenegrin Red Cross, Telenor has organized loading and delivery of goods, and all was done with support of Telenor employees.
