  Prepaid roaming

What is the prepaid roaming?

Prepaid roaming provides to the users of Telenor prepaid services the possibility to use their prepaid number abroad, or in the networks of other operators, in the same way as when they are in their own network, i.e. by recharging their accounts using vouchers.

  • No Contract is needed
  • There is no deposit for roaming
  • Control of spending at any moment, immediately upon ending your call
  • You decide on the spending in roaming and recharging the account on your own

What does the prepaid roaming enable?

Prepaid users have the possibility to use their cards in all the countries, or in all the networks with which Telenor has the contracts on commercial roaming.

BEFORE YOU MAKE YOUR DEPARTURE...

Before you make your departure, check, by calling the Customer Service at 9898, or on the Web site telenor.me, the latest information related to the countries and operators whose services are available to you:

  • Whether you have the roaming service activated
  • Whether Telenor has roaming with the country to which you travel
  • Which operators are available for the use of roaming in the country to which you travel and whether it is possible to make outgoing calls as well
  • The frequencies used by a GSM operator and whether your telephone is compatible with the network
  • Whether you have activated any ban on outgoing or incoming calls. In case you have, deactivate the bans
  • Take with you the vouchers to recharge your account while you are in roaming

We RECOMMEND to the prepaid users who wish to use the roaming service to take with them the vouchers to recharge their accounts as well as to always have in their accounts some minimum amount of money so as to be able to send a message, receive a call or make a call.

Such minimum amount can be fixed based on the pricelist of the roaming service related to the International Zone in which you are.

NOTE:
We would recommend to our customers, which live or stay in the border area with neighboring countries to set their handsets on manual network selection, because there are situations that in case when the handset is set on automatic network selection, it can select a signal of neighboring networks. The traffic generated on that way will be charged by actual prices of the roaming partner whose network has been used.
